BetterKleen Green Policy Statement

DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION

  1. “Green Policy” refers to the policy containing the procedures and policies we follow to classify ourselves as becoming environmentally friendly.
  2. “Eco-friendly” has the official definition of “not environmentally harmful”.
  3. “Going green” is a term used to describe being more environmentally friendly.

WHAT WE STRIVE TO ACHIEVE

The following “green” points are goals we wish to reach in the near future to make us more eco-friendly towards the environment. These steps are just the beginning of the process, and we will work towards becoming fully “green” and eco-friendly in the near future.

REDUCE, RE-USE, RECYCLE

We are working towards a goal of reducing the purchasing of harmful toxins and waste for the purpose of reducing carbon emissions and plastic waste, contributing towards a greener tomorrow. Our aim is to re-use our packaging material as much, and, as long as possible before replacing the containers. We also aim to recycle all unusable and replaced plastic containers and bottles. The main goal is using biodegradable or compostable plastic in the near future for all of our packaging and containers.

ELECTRONIC AND ASSET MANAGEMENT

The aim is to recycle all broken and unused electronic devices safely, and properly disposing of the faulty electronic devices by means of electronic recycling.

PAPERLESS ENVIRONMENT

We are cutting the use of non-organic and non-eco-friendly paper by providing any and all information digitally. This includes, and is not limited to, quotes, invoices, pricing, and any other forms of communication. Should we decide to make use of paper, we will only use eco-friendly sources of paper. This does not apply to labels and stickers at this moment in time.

SUSTAINABLE STORAGE

We do not make use of electronic components to assist with storing of our products, such as heating lamps, electronic lifts, air-conditioning, or high-wattage light bulbs.
We store our products in bulk after manufacturing to reduce the amount of electricity used during the production of our products.
Product stock is split between branches to reduce emissions from delivering our products in remote locations via courier, self-delivery, or collection.

ELECTRICITY SAVING

We make use of low watt mixing tools to reduce the amount of electricity required during the manufacturing process.
We aim at replacing any and all lights with LED light sources, and where possible, natural light sources.
We make use of hand-operating doors and shelves.
We do not make use of electronic air-conditioning systems to keep the storage rooms at a certain temperature. All of our products are stored at room temperature.
